About Me
Over the past 15 years, I have supported students from middle school through graduate studies, helping them build confidence, master challenging material, and reach their goals. My students come from across Canada, the U.S., and abroad, and their aspirations have been just as varied—from simply aiming to pass a difficult course to earning top marks and securing admission to highly competitive programs.
I have guided countless learners through Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) curricula, as well as students with ADHD, anxiety, and other forms of neurodiversity. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide personalized support.
My academic background—an MSc in Medical Science and an Honours BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto—enables me to tutor a wide range of subjects while also providing insight into how students learn best and the tools to apply evidence-informed approaches to education.
Approach and Philosophy
- Deliver personalized one-on-one guidance that adapts to each student’s needs and goals
- Apply a step-by-step approach inspired by the zone of proximal development, focusing on achievable challenges that create small wins and boost motivation

- Build strong numeracy and literacy so they never become a barrier to future goals
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving by encouraging curiosity, independence, and deeper understanding
- Promote effective study habits, organization, and time management to support long-term academic success
- Implement M3 (Maximize Marks per Minute): focus study on the highest-yield improvements and use smart test-taking strategies
- Grow lasting confidence through accountability, encouragement, and mentorship—the kind of human support no technology can replace
Outside of Work
I lead an active lifestyle: I cycle year-round in Toronto and, when the weather is warmer, I enjoy hiking and backpacking. Currently, I am learning powered paragliding.
I bring curiosity and balance into my work, drawing inspiration from the same energy I bring to outdoor adventures.
